I hate to admit it, but the last band I was in fired me. It wasn’t my finest moment. I have never been fired from a job. Ever. Embarrassment doesn’t begin to describe what I experienced sitting on the other side of that dining room table from my bandmates.I’m pretty sure I got fired for my attitude. It wasn’t the “diva” attitude you might expect either. I was really negative, in general. It was enough to toss a wet blanket on the whole thing. Admittedly, I probably wasn’t much fun to be around. I was going through some shit at the time and I definitely wasn’t my best self. I’m creating a second chance, though, and that feels pretty remarkable.
